7:32 p.m. - 2005-12-05 At this time it has occurred to me that you might think it a trifle odd that I was trying to put a kitchen table into a bedroom to begin with so maybe I should explain why I was doing such a thing. I have a muggle friend who is moving out of her old new house into her old new house soon and she is going to sell me her better than my kitchen table to me. But I have to have room for it in the kitchen. Hence, I am trying to move the my old kitchen table to make room for the one I am buying from my friend. I live in a 1100 square foot three bedroom house with three cats. As the only human it does not get too crowded unless I am trying to move tables into rooms. Then it gets real crowded because, of course, the cats have to see what is going on. I love my house, really I do, but it has weird angles. The toilet(s) are in little cubes in the bathroom. If you get claustrophobic then use the gas station's toilet before you come to my house. Anyway, for a three bedroom house it is a bit small. I am afraid that when I put up my 7 foot xmas tree I might have to rent an apartment for me to live in. Getting back to my story, I wanted to keep my old kitchen table because I can use it as a sewing table. I have the extra bedroom so why not I figure. I already have a queen size futon (which will have to be disassembled if I ever want to get it out of there), a desk, a few odd tables, and this really ugly cheap china cabinet I want to get rid of that has all my racing collectibles (I want to get rid of them also). I figured I could make this extra room a guest room (if I ever get a guest over night...well besides my special guests...but that is another blog) and a sewing room combined. Unless I take the legs off that table is not going in there. Damn angles! You would have to see it to believe it. Not yet though! I am using the mattress on the futon on my bed at the moment. That is another blog entry for another time, but until I get my new mattress out of lay-a-way I won't have any place for a guest to sleep except the sofa. At the moment, though, the table is sitting in the garage and the door to the extra room is back on. Seems that the door to the garage is bigger and the angle to that entry is not as bad. I will decide what to do with the table at another time. What worries me is the fact that the table I am getting is bigger and I am pretty sure it is not going to come through the front door or the door to the garage. We might have to carry it all the way around to the back door to the kitchen. We did that to the sofa when I got it. What a trip that was and again, that is another story for the blogs. Remind me and I will tell it to you! What a hoot that was to get to and to get in the house.
